Hello everyone! How is everybody doing? We hope you guys have been staying safe and keeping well. 2021 has been a bit of a rollercoaster for many and we sincerely wish you guys a safe, healthy, and blessed days to come.
It has been a while since we posted anything here. We’d like to update you guys on what has been going on in our individual lives.

You can’t see it, but Hana & friend is smiling! (Despite sweating buckets)
Hana is a medical doctor, currently based in a clinic. When she is not in the clinic or at home, she’ll be mobilized to medical centers to help out. Some days are good and some days are a bit challenging.
Nat is working with a mental health tech start-up company. ThoughtFull utilizes digital consultation for those in need of support, especially in these trying times.
With many people struggling to make ends meet, the pandemic fatigue, limited movement and freedom- a service such as ThoughtFull is very much needed. It has also been keeping Nat occupied and always on her toes.
Work has been taking up a lot of our time and effort so we down-scaled our fitness regime and goals.
Our focus is to stay physically active and enjoy our training as a means of stress relief!
Hana alternates between yoga, rollerblading, neighborhood walks, jogs and basic weight training. Nat alternates between crossfit, yoga, walks and metabolic conditioning.

Sometimes tries to incorporate new activities to keep it exciting 🙂
Fitness goals, just like any other goal keeps you on track. Some argue they want to exercise just coz they feel like it.
A structured regime will help you get there.
If you require assistance regarding your own fitness goals- check out our post here.
Hurdles come in many types and forms- work, family, illnesses, lockdowns.
Instead of letting go of your fitness goals- adjust to make it suit your current situation.
Here are a few tips that may help you:
-
Work on one goal or change at any one time so you stay focused
-
Tell your close friends so they can check in on your progress
-
Make the goal easy to achieve to encourage compliance and motivation
-
Stick with it for a period of time. Try one month first then scale it up
-
Change up the activity to make it enjoyable. Try activities with your family members like walking, bird-watching

With our CrossFit family from Fuel Athletics – Working out together does a lot more than you think!
We avoid going out as much as we can, but the occasional walk around the neighborhood surrounded by trees certainly helps calm the nerves 🙂
Other things that we find helpful for stress management:
-
Talking to the right people about your worries and concerns
-
Being appreciative about the small things– to yourself, family members, colleagues, friends
-
Reward yourself with activities you enjoy (Nat paints, Hana talks to her cats)
-
As much as people promote positive feelings (eg happy, calm, grateful), it is important to accept the negative emotions you’re feeling too (sad, anxious, angry, frustrated). Acknowledging why you feel a certain way helps you manage situations better.
-
Ever felt guilty or bad that you’re not doing anything? In this current hustle environment, it’s natural to have the go go go attitude. This can be detrimental in the long run. On days you’re supposed to be resting, rest up
It’s okay to feel the way you do. Please take care of your physical & mental health and continue supporting one another.
We need each other more than we care to admit, more so right now. Stay safe everyone!
xx
